Ryckman broke the school record in the hammer throw at the Alfred State Alumni Open on Friday. She threw for 43.92m (144’-1”) on the fifth attempt, to not only surpass the previous school record of 43.64m (143’-2”), set by Brynn Hyde ’18 in her senior season, but to also win the event. This marks the second time in her career that Ryckman has won the hammer throw. The first time she won it was at the Highlander Invitational this season on March 29. Her new personal best distance moved her from 17^th in the Empire 8 to 12^th.
