Baitey earned spots on the podium in all four of his events during the Empire 8 Outdoor Track & Field Championships last weekend. He won both the triple jump and long jump events, hitting 13.12m (43'-0.5") in the triple and a collegiate personal best distance of 6.85m (22'-5.75") in the long jump. Baitey also had a personal best time in the 400-meter dash, running a time of 50.29 to take fifth place. He teamed with Kevin Flint, Max Rasilla and Finnegan Dean in the 4x400-meter relay to take fourth place with a time of 3:31.45.
