Wells had a stellar week as she helped the Saxons open Empire 8 play with a strong, 3-1 record against top E8 opponents, St. John Fisher University and Nazareth College. Wells batted .500 on the week with eight hits on 16 at-bats. She totaled five RBI and four runs, herself while only striking out once. Wells also had two home runs on the week and two stolen bases. Defensively, she had to play her usual first base position while at Nazareth and then, for the first time in her collegiate career, had to play in right field in the sweep of Fisher. She was flawless in her defensive performance in all four games, totaling nine putouts and no errors.
