Senior Brewster Marshall had back-to-back-to-back double-doubles as he helped the Saxons go 3-0 in Empire 8 action and punch their ticket to the post-season with wins over Elmira College, Hartwick College and Russell Sage College. He totaled 54 points, 34 rebounds, seven assists, six blocks and only committing one foul in 94 minutes of play. Marshall was perfect on the week from the free throw line, going 12-for-12 and shot over .500 in two of the three games from the floor. His top performance of the week was Tuesday’s road game at Elmira, scoring 23 points and pulling down 14 rebounds (eight defensive) as he tied his season-best in overall rebounds. Marshall was 9-for-16 in that game for a weekly-high .563 shooting average. He scored 17 points against Hartwick and 14 at RSC while pulling down 10 boards in both contests. Marshall is now on an eight-game streak of double-digit scoring and now had 16-of-18 games on the season with double-figures. Saturday’s game was his 10th double-double of the year.
