Junior Jillian Murray helped the Saxons’ to a memorable Empire 8 Tournament finish this past weekend as she totaled four RBI’s and three runs while picking up two wins in the pitcher’s circle. She was 6-for-15 from the plate including a solo homer on the very first pitch of Sunday’s opening game against St. John Fisher. She totaled three RBI’s in that game with three trips herself to home plate. Murray tacked on one RBI against Nazareth and the pitching win against the Golden Flyers after 6.0 innings pitched with one strikeout. She was also credited with the pitching win against Fisher on Sunday morning, going 3.0 innings and keeping the Cardinal bats cool in order for the Saxons to force a Game Five.
