Senior Chris Deaver punched his ticket to the NCAA Division III National Diving Championships on March 20-23 after placing in the Top-10 in both his 1-meter and 3-meter diving events during the NCAA Division III Regional Championships at Rochester Institute of Technology on Friday and Saturday. Deaver’s top finish was his fifth place, 453.95-point finish on Friday on the 1-meter diving board. With the national meet only taking the Top-7 divers from each region, Deaver had to ensure that he did not place 11^th or worse in order to give him a shot at the invite. On Saturday, he finished eighth on the 3-meter board with a score of 463.50 points to earn his return to the show as his junior season was his first trip to nationals.
