Senior Nunez broke the Alfred University school record in the hammer throw with a toss of 49.94m on Friday during Day One of the 2018 Empire 8 Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships at St. John Fisher College. The record was held previously by Zarchary Homrighaus ’98 of 49.92m. His throw placed him at third in the meet. Nunez also finished seventh in the discus throw with a toss of 39.01m.
