Lexi Riffelbach scored the Saxons' first goal of the 2017 season on both the women's and men's sides when she scored against New Paltz in the season-opener. Her goal came in the 83rd minute of play when she beat defenders and took a shot. The shot was just outside of the Hawks' goalkeeper but it hit the right post, richocheted into the back of the goalie and then spun back into the goal.
