Junior Seth Spicer became a New York State Collegiate Track Conference Champion on Saturday evening as he won the two-day heptathlon with a score of 4,859 points. The score was also a new facility record at St. Lawrence University. Spicer came in first in three events that helped propel him to the overall win. He ran a 2:44.50 in the 1,000 meter run (his highest scoring event with 824 points), an 8.73 in the 60 meter hurdles and had a distance of 6.23 meters in the long jump. He never took below fourth in any event.
