Junior Kristin Brown won the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 26.68, just out-touching the timing pad by 0.01 over Empire 8 foe, Nazareth’s Shannon O’Malley. Brown then teamed with Leah Zimmerman, Elizabeth Schiffhauer and Samantha Brown in the 200 yard freestyle relay to place second with a time of 1:46.76, just falling to Nazareth’s team with a time differential of 0.60 seconds. She rounded out her Saturday, season-opening performance with a third place finish in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 1:00.78, being out-touched by Schiffhauer’s 1:00.01.
