Alfred, NY- Sophomore Jake Lynch (Whitney Point, NY/Whitney Point) has been named the Alfred University Male Athlete of the Week following his performance last week for the men's lacrosse team.
Over the course of two game, Lynch led AU with seven goals, one assist, six ground balls, and one caused turnovers en route to a 1-1 record in Empire 8 play. Lynch leads the Saxons on the year with 45 goals over the course of 11 games. The young attack player is currently averaging 4.09 goals per game for the Saxons.
Lynch and the men's lacrosse team returns to the field on Saturday when they travel to Elmira to take on the Soaring Eagles at 1PM.
