Sophia Chiavatti averaged a .444 at the plate, going 12-of-27 during the Saxons' season-opening spring break trip. Out of her 12 hits, one was a double and one was a triple as she recorded nine RBI and crossed home plate four times as well. She totaled 15 bases for a slugging percentage of .556 and she was only struck out once during her nine games and nine starts. Her single game highlight came against Saint Mary's where she went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run as well as a sacrificed fly. Defensively, Chiavatti was perfect in the field, recording a percentage of 1.000 with her 46 putouts and five assists with no errors. In the pitching circle, Chiavatti was 1-0 in her one appearance, pitching a shutout over Pitt-Greensburg. She pitched seven full innings and gave up seven hits while also sitting seven batters in the Saxons' 8-0 win.
