ALFRED, NY—Senior Nicolas Wood (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua) has been named the Alfred University Male Athlete of the Week following his performance during the three-game stint in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Wood led the Saxons to a 3-0 record over their Spring Break trip down south, mounting plenty of offense for AU. In two games against Hilbert College and Emmanuel College, he added three goals and four goals respectively. He also added five assists in those two games.
Alfred University plays again Wednesday, March 18 against SUNY Polytechnic at home, looking to defend their undefeated season.
