Moskowitz was named the 9th Head Coach of the Alfred University women's basketball program in April of 2018. He comes to Alfred University from SUNY New Paltz where he served as an assistant coach for three years. In that position he aided in recruiting, practice planning, scouting, skill workouts, and film study coordination among other responsibilities. During his tenure, the Hawks went 58-26 (.667), making the SUNYAC Tournament three times and winning it twice. They advanced to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 in 2017 prior to bowing out to UMass-Dartmouth, 83-80.

Since the 2021-22 season, the program has accumulated the second-most wins in a four-year stretch with 51 victories. During the 2022-23 season specifically, the Saxons finished with a 15-10 overall record, marking the most wins in a single season in over 25 years. The 2022-23 and 2024-25 postseason appearances for the women's basketball team were the first two in program history.

Under Moskowitz, the team has achieved both team and individual success. Three players have eclipsed 1,000 career points with Alfred University women's basketball, including Jamie Wilcox '20, Leah Harkenrider '24 and Grace Rittenhouse '24. There have been a total of seven All-Empire 8 honorees, as well as the Empire 8 Rookie of the Year.

While leading the Saxon women's basketball program, Coach Moskowitz has changed the culture to one that excels both on the court and in the classroom. His teams have achieved a 3.48 cumulative GPA across the past seven years, including six consecutive semesters with a 3.50 or higher team GPA. During the Spring 2025 semester, the women's basketball program achieved a program-best 3.69 team GPA. His Saxons have had seven inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma athletic academic fraternity and have had semester listings 73 times on the Empire 8 President's List by 27 different student-athletes, carrying a GPA of 3.75 or higher in a semester.

Coach Moskowitz and the Saxons have also been highly involved within the local communities, logging in hundreds of hours of community service all throughout the region in areas such as Alfred, Hornell, Belmont and Canisteo. As part of the third annual ALFYS Awards Night, the Saxons were honored as the team with the most community service hours per athlete. The Saxons have participated in events such as community clean-ups, Kid's Night Out via the Hornell YMCA, geriatric outreach, elementary school reading programs, fundraising initiatives and cancer awareness events including the Play4Kay Breast Cancer Awareness Game in memory of Kay Yow, former women's collegiate basketball coach who passed away from breast cancer in 2009, raising over $1,900, nearly doubling their goal of $1,000 in February of 2020.

Prior to New Paltz, he spent one season as the student assistant for the Oneonta State men’s basketball team, after a few years shadowing Head Coach Vince Medici.

Before moving up to the collegiate ranks, Moskowitz was the JV Girls Basketball Head Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach at Unadilla Valley Central School where he coached former Alfred University basketball player, Amanda Off ’17. While at AU, Off scored 1,350 points, which ranks second all-time in program history.
