Autumn McLain was appointed head coach of women's tennis at Alfred University in the summer of 2013 and as the men's head coach to start the fall portion of the 2015-16 season.
McLain was a former standout on the AU women’s tennis team, playing four seasons for the Saxons before graduating with a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies (minor in biology) in 2011. She then earned her MBA in May of 2015. As a member of the tennis team, she posted a 33-20 singles record with a 27-20 doubles record during her four-year career, earning Empire 8 all-conference honors as a junior in 2009. She also played three seasons for the Saxons’ women’s basketball team.
A native of Oneida, NY, McLain is currently serving as the Assistant Director of Residence Life at AU. She also teaches a leaderhip class, helps manage sustainability efforts on campus and continues to take classes because, "I enjoy being in the classroom and learning," said McLain.
