Nicole Pagano is in her first season as a graduate assistant coach for the Alfred University softball team.
Pagano comes to AU from Division I Mount St. Mary’s University (Emmitsburg, MD), where she played four years as a pitcher for the softball team before graduating in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology (minors in Spanish and education).
While at Mount St. Mary’s, Pagano earned Second Team Northeast Conference honors in 2012. As a senior in 2014, she was named a Second Team NEC all-star as well as a Third Team NFCA Northeast Region all-star. Pagano finished the 2014 season with a 1.18 ERA, which was tops in the NEC and fifth in the nation.
Pagano set a school single-season record for wins, ERA, and strikeouts and finished her career at Mount St. Mary’s as the school’s all-time leader in wins, strikeouts, and innings pitched. She was also awarded by Mount St. Mary's with the Monsignor John L. Sheridan Award, which is given to the student-athlete who exemplifies the spirit and dedication of intercollegiate athletics through athletic and academic achievement.
Pagano is pursuing a master’s degree in psychology from Alfred University.
