During her career, she helped lead AU to four postseason tournaments (New York State, 1986 and 1988; NCAAs in 1988; ECAC in 1989).
DiFlorio ranks second in career saves (449) and shutouts (20) at AU (behind only 2006 Hall of Fame inductee Julie Francis), and holds the AU single-season record for saves (190, set as a freshman in 1986).
In 1988, her junior year, DiFlorio was named the Saxons' team MVP. That season, she had eight shutouts, a saves percentage of .794 and a 1.50 goals against average. In her freshman season of 1986, she earned personal single-season bests in saves percentage (.865) and goals against average (1.03).
DiFlorio's greatest thrill as an AU athlete came throughout her career, when the Saxons qualified for the postseason in each of her four seasons. It is the only four-year period in the 28-year history of the program that has happened.
DiFlorio graduated from AU in 1991 with a bachelor's degree in education and would go on to earn a master's degree in health education from SUNY Cortland.
