The son of legendary AU swimming & diving coach Mike Schaeberle, Tim was a seven-time NCAA Division III All-American swimming for the Saxons. He earned All-America status in the 400 medley relay in 1982, the 200 freestyle in 1983, the 800 freestyle and 400 medley relay in 1984 and the 400 and and 800 freestyle relays in 1985.
At various times during his four-year career, Tim held six school records and helped AU finish seventh in the nation at the 1984 and 1985 NCAA National Championships. Schaeberle also swam on two unbeaten teams during the regular season. The 1982-83 team went 10-0 and the 1983-84 squad finished 14-0. The Saxons went 10-1 during the 1984-85 season when SchaeberleĀ served as a captain.
Schaeberle, a senior patent attorney with Corning Inc., is married to Allison M. Wolfe. They reside in Horseheads, NY.
