Terry Bruce was an All-America athlete (football and track & field) at AU and went out on to tour the world and play some of the most famous jazz musicians in show business.
He was gaining attention (saxophone and clarinet) in high school before attending AU.
Terry had a glittering high school career at James Madison High School in Rochester. National Honor Society, All-City, All-State, All-America football. Section V wrestling champion. Section V discus and shot put champion. Music scholarships to Eastman and Bailey School of Music.
At AU, Bruce captained both the football and track & field teams. He was track & field All-American in the discus, setting at record at AU. 
He won ECAC All-Star awards and was rated one of the best college football players of the year. 
Terry was assistant coach in football, track & field and wrestling at James Madison High School. He presently is a music teacher in the Rochester City School district. 
Bruce is married and the father of two children, Andrew and Mark.
