During his four years in Alfred University basketball, Steinberg set almost every scoring record. He still stands out as one of the all-time leading scorers in AU history with 1,429 points over his career. Steve was All-ECAC small college and twice earned Little All-America Honorable Mention. Member of the U.S. squad in the Israeli Olympics. Scored 30 or more points in many games as well as the 40's. Considered by many observers as the most exciting player to wear an AU uniform.
