Alfred University Athletics

At Alfred University, Schacter was outstanding in basketball. After graduation, he become the senior referee in the National Football League. He was the referee for the original Super Bowl and worked two other Super Bowls in addition to 11 championship games in 22-year career. Norm is the author of many books. He wrote the official's manual for the NFL. He prepared weekly tests and summaries for all NFL officials. He was a member of an undefeated freshman basketball team while at AU.
