Outstanding football player and weight thrower in while at Alfred University. Made All-Western New York Football Team (1940) and All-East Team picked by the New York Tribune. Weighed 210 pounds while competing at AU. Place fourth in discus and fifth in shot put at IC4A Championships. Served in the Pacific during World War II. Coached at Peeskill Academy and St. Bonaventure. Wrestling coach at Ithaca College.
