Katie Calfee is the fourth AU women’s tennis player to be inducted into the AU Athletics Hall of Fame and enters the ranks as one of the most decorated tennis players in school history.

She was a member of the team from 2004-2008. Calfee was recognized on the Empire 8 All-Conference team every year at AU earning Empire 8 Rookie of the Year, Empire 8 First Team singles and Empire 8 Honorable Mention in doubles during her first-year campaign in 2004.

She continued on to earn First Team singles and second team doubles in 2005, Player of the Year, First Team singles and Second Team doubles in 2006 and First Team singles and Second Team doubles in 2007. She was also a member of the 2004-05 team that went undefeated (12-0) and won a program record 50 singles matches. 
 
Calfee won a school-record 44 singles matches in her career as well as 30 doubles matches. She is the overall winningest player in program history with 74 total wins. She is tied for second all-time at AU in career doubles wins, singles wins in a season (12), doubles wins in a season (10) and total wins in a season (20 – twice).

The two-time captain capped off her career at AU by earning the Muriel Strong Morley Award for AU’s most outstanding senior student-athlete. 
Calfee continues to show her athletic prowess to this day, competing with the world-renowned  “Arch Rival” roller derby team. She led her team to gold at the 2018 International Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) Championships in Spain, and her team is currently ranked fourth in the world in the WFTDA rankings.
