Broke dozens of records in cross country and track & field during his brilliant foot racing career at Alfred University in the 1923-26 period. Middle Atlantic States champion in cross country, mile and two-mile. Set record over cross country course in VanCortlandt Park in New York City. Nearly lapped Johnny Bell, U.S. Olympic Champion in 2,000 yard race in Buffalo.
