Snyder was an All-American in cross country. He won dozens of races at mile and two-mile distances in 1953-55 period. Undefeated in both events in dual meets for two years. Middle Atlantic States cross country champion. Fourth at Penn Relays in two-mile. Ninth in NCAA cross country and also mile and two-mile races.
