Four years of basketball and four years of track & field. He was captain of the basketball team. Named All-Conference in basketball. Saxons record holder in the 220-yard dash and 440-yard dash. Middle Atlantic States champion twice in each event. Named to Negro Basketball Hall of Fame for basketball in 1975. Canadian record-holder in 300-yards indoor.
