Alfred University Athletics

Never missed a game in four seasons of football at Alfred University. Played with undefeated freshman team and three seasons with varsity. Offensive and defensive end. Received rare honor in 1950 when he gained Honorable Mention on the Major All-America team selected by the United Press International. Biggest AU football thrill came in 1949 when Saxons came back from 19-0 deficit to defeat Brooklyn 20-19 in second half.
