Alfred University Athletics

Diane was a four-year starter at guard on the women's basketball team from 1982-86. At the time of induction, she holds the all-time record for assists in a season (147) and career (391) and is ranked 10th in all-time scoring with 1,029 points. 

A native of Monroeville, PA, Diane helped lead the Saxons to a 19-6 record and the ECAC Upstate New York Championship her junior year. As a sophomore, she put up her career-best in points (352) and assists (147). At the time of her graduation in 1986, she held eight all-time records, including career points.

DeGurian also earned the ECAC Award for Scholarship and Athletic Prowess and the Alfred University Outstanding Senior Award in 1986.
