Schaeberle received the honor of being named an All-American all four years that he swam at AU. He earned five awards in individual events and two on relays. Schaeberle finished fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke three times at the NCAA Division III Championships (1985-87). As a member of the unbeaten 1983-84 team, he helped the Saxons to a 43-4 record in dual meets during his career. In that span, he won 60 individual events.
