Striker swam for the AU men’s team four seasons (2003-07), competing at the 2004 NCAA Division III championships and earning All-American recognition as part of Saxons’ 800-yard freestyle relay team.
He was a three-time Empire 8 Conference individual champion (200-yard freestyle in 2004 and 2006; 100-yard butterfly in 2007) and was part of Saxon teams that won an Upper New York State Collegiate Swimming Association (UNYSCSA) title in 2007 and Empire 8 Conference crowns in 2005 and 2007. Striker also swam on AU relay teams that at one time held school and Empire 8 records in the 200-yard and 400-yard medley relays.
He will be the third of three Striker brothers to be inducted into the AU Athletics Hall of Fame. Brian Striker, his oldest brother and head coach at AU, was inducted in 2010; his brother Todd was inducted the following year. All three Striker brothers were All-Americans at AU.
