Former Elmira Notre Dame High School standout Bill Knott '68, was a member of Alex Yunevich's football teams from 1965-1968 and also played one year of basketball at Alfred University. He was an Associated Press Little All-America honorable mention selection in 1967 and was named First Team All-Independent College Athletic Conference from 1965-1967.
A member of the Blue Key National Honor Society and named to "Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities," Knott earned his bachelor of arts degree in economics and business from AU. After serving in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, Knott earned his Master's degree in business administration in 1971, aftger which he was hired by New York Telephone. He currently serves as labor relations director with New York Telephone in Garden City, NY.
A native on Elmira, NY, Knott graduated from Elmira Notre Dame High School where he played football, basketball and baseball.
